Lynne Scott

Vocals

 

Lynne studied drama at an early age under the direction of the late Marjorie Purvey at the Toronto School of Drama. She then went on to obtain her B.A in English/Theatre from McMaster University. After graduating from University, she went on to study improv classes at Second City in Toronto. Lynne’s love of music led her to form her own band in the late 1980’s called “Skaface”. They were highly successful playing many venues including Molson Park in Barrie and the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto. They put out two albums, two singles and were on many compilation albums in Canada, and Europe including a Universal Music compilation in the 1990’s. They are currently working on their 3rd album. In addition to her band, Lynne has directed, and written children’s theatre plays that were performed in the GTA and appeared on YTV doing character roles on a show called, System Crash in the 1990’s. In addition, she was also co-founder of a musical comedy theatre troupe that were a featured act at the Ontario Renaissance Festival, Buskerfest and on CBC’s Elvira Kurts Adventures in comedy. For the past 12years, Lynne has also taught dance, musical theatre and vocals. She currently teaches pop/rock vocals at a Burlington Ontario performing arts school.

Christy Lamphier

Vocals

Christy is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario where she studied voice with Alvin Reimer and Brian MacIntosh. With a passion for music education, this bubbly soprano has been teaching voice and piano professionally for the past 15 years. Her students have been highly successful at local music festivals and she recently received a Certificate of Recognition from The Royal Conservatory of Music. Christy runs a private teaching studio in the Burlington/Oakville area, performs regularly at weddings and special occasions, and is a high school teacher with the Grand Erie District School Board.

Steve Roberts

Guitar and Bass

Steve Roberts (guitar and bass) is a professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has been playing guitar for over 30 years. Steve is the bass player for the band, Skaface, and has written many songs and arrangements for the band.

Erika Pavkovic

Piano

 

Erika graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Music with Honours in Piano Performance, where she received the University of Western Ontario Gold Medal in Music.  She enjoys a variety of music genres including jazz, classical, rock, blues and pop, and will argue that untraditional arrangements of Christmas music form a genre unto itself. She occasionally teaches at Harmony Arts Academy in Oakville and has a passion for collaborative piano, in which she has experience in numerous musicals and the preparation of voice students for recitals, juries, auditions and exams. Erika also received her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and currently works as Learning and Development Assistant at Hamilton Public Library.
